Said to be an automatic grinder. It has settings for grind size and number of cups. That's exactly what I wanted. This should mean install those two things, press and release "Start". However, this does not happen automatically. You have to hold down the button the entire time for it to work. What the hell are the settings doing? Nothing. You still have to stand there and hold the button down. If you have to keep the button pressed, you can also get one of the simple grinders with at least easy-to-clean blades. In addition, it is difficult to clean. The "maid" system does nothing but catch and get in the way. They cannot be removed even with a coffee brush. You will need to wash/rinse the chamber and lid, but due to their design, water enters both the chamber and lid and you cannot remove them or hand dry them. You have to wait for it to air dry. So if you want to grind coffee 2 days in a row, you can't rinse the chamber/lid in between! All you have to do is have muddy dirt all over it until you have time to rinse it out and let it air dry for 36 hours! not delivered; maybe it is buggy, but other problems are still true). Half of the beans are ground into a fine powder while the other half remains almost whole. After numerous attempts to achieve an even and complete finish, it was not possible, which we did. I bought it because it said it had the features I wanted, not the price. I bought this to replace an old GE automatic coffee grinder that lets you set the grind/number of cups, press start and walk away. Has worked great for years. And even had a very basic cord wrap/storage system. Unfortunately I broke the lid lock switch, couldn't glue it back and I can't find the same grinder model anymore. I return this one.
