I love espresso, french press and regular coffee. I love coffee so when my last burr grinder broke I figured I might grab this Mr Coffee for a while. Serious? This meat grinder has problems. The design is not bad, although there is a lot of plastic. When you set it to Course Grind it grinds but leaves too many chunks (even for a French press) and has a mix of fine to medium grinds! I have Mr. Coffee with a French Press coffee maker, which I also bought from Revain. The item arrived quickly, was packaged securely and had no damage to the outer packaging or product packaging. I would like to use this grinder. The instruction manual explains the different parts of the grinder and how to use them. I brewed my first coffee this morning. I almost didn't get this because the reviews quoted terrible chemical smells but I gave it a go and am very happy. In my case, at least, it turned out to be the typical electric motor lubricant smell found in many mechanized devices, albeit a bit pungent. Also, it comes from the base of the device, which is far from your precious base. Worst case you can argue that the oils leave the grinding chamber, but I don't see them ever entering and contaminating the ground coffee. All 3 settings…

Said to be an automatic grinder. It has settings for grind size and number of cups. That's exactly what I wanted. This should mean install those two things, press and release "Start". However, this does not happen automatically. You have to hold down the button the entire time for it to work. What the hell are the settings doing? Nothing.
