These hooks were purchased specifically to hang my plants. I bought a new auto watering flower pot and wanted the hooks to look sturdy and white so they would match my ceiling. I've never hung anything from the ceiling because I never had a ladder that was tall enough, but my mom let me borrow her half-height aluminum ladder that allowed a 5ft 4in woman to reach the ceiling. Armed with an electric drill and a thin drill bit (make sure the drill bit is smaller than the actual screw on the hook), I drilled a small hole and screwed the hook all the way in by hand. I drilled too deep before screwing the hook on and when I pulled on it it just came loose so let the screw do its thing. They look amazing and hold my pots/plants (with water on them) great. I love that you have so many, now I'm presenting a hanging planter canopy for my kitchen in my 1 bedroom apartment. These hooks are very strong, have excellent finishes and are very easy to install.
