I believe they were reduced for about $17. To be honest I wouldn't recommend paying more for it. Although I know Bruno Marc is a low budget brand, this pair of shoes is very cheap. The construction of the shoe itself is ok. However, parts of the shoe made of synthetic material appear particularly cheap, especially around the heel, around the toe/toe and around the laces. It would be much better if all the shoes were made of knitted material as the shoes would be more visually appealing and more comfortable. These synthetic parts of the shoe are hard and mostly inflexible which caused me some discomfort when adjusting the heel, toe and even trying on shoes and walking a few steps because the shoe would give and the synthetic material on the laces would pinch me on the top of the foot. The insole is also a big question mark with this shoe. Has some rebound but very little support and the foam seems to shrink after a few wears. Have two other pairs of Bruno Marc shoes, trainers and boots that were/are much better quality for the same price. Choose another Bruno Marc shoe in my opinion, or if you want knitted ones spend a little more for a big boost in quality.
