Review on ⚙️ Enhanced Performance: WARN 85950 ProVantage ATV Plow Limit Control by Philip Breeze

Revainrating 2 out of 5

Does not fit out of the box (Polaris Sportsman 500 EFI 2006), had to be adjusted by the jury.

Pros: Once I found a workaround for the attachment, the unit works as advertised and prevents the plow from hitting the frame (or over-tightening the winch cable). Cons: Probably because of the narrower frame? The 2006 Polaris Sportsman 500 EFI, compared to some other ATVs, requires the front plow frame mount to be installed so that the round "washer" on the plow frame/tube faces outboard (facing left/right) rather than inboard (facing center). ) is mounted. of the ATV. This will result in the upper limit magnetic mount not fitting properly. Without the addition of a spacer and longer screws, the magnet is too far from the sensor and you can't even get it to the upper travel limit (which is required to align the magnet with the sensor). I added a metal spacer/spacer and had to buy longer bolts to attach the magnet mount to the plow tube. I had to mount the sensor mount to the "inner/inside" edge of the frame mount. While this works, it does get in the way a bit when attaching the plow tube/frame to the frame mount (it takes a bit of a chuckle to get the plow tube onto the mount's screw head). Even with the gasket added and the sensor mounted on the "inside" of the bracket, the distance between the magnet and the Hall Effect sensor may be slightly greater than the maximum "3/4" distance listed between the magnet and the sensor. The sensor seems to work fine, but I'm wondering if I might run into problems if I get snow/slush/mud on it during use.
