Review on Convenient and Stylish 240-Count Touch of Color 🍽️ Paper Lunch Napkins in White - Ideal for Any Occasion! by Kimberly Williams

Definitely not the best substitute

I ordered these hoping they would last me until my favorite Vanity Fair napkins were sold out. Not even remotely comparable! They are neither soft nor flexible. They are hard and don't absorb well. When wet, they begin to fall apart. But most of all, I was repelled by their strange smell. You won't notice until you bring a tissue to wipe your mouth. Smells almost like popcorn! Not a bad smell, but not what you'd want on a napkin either. My husband has worked in the paper and recycling industry his entire adult life. In his opinion, the smell was probably acquired during the papermaking process. He bought my favorite Vanity Fair towels when he walked into the store and now I have over 200 of them lying around for no reason. Any suggestions?
