but the yarn is more like floss/thread than yarn

That's a very nice idea, but the yarn is more like floss/thread than yarn. It is not very soft and takes a long time, even for a small baby blanket. I personally prefer soft yarn for baby blankets. I hope they consider reworking these sets with softer yarn in a larger size.
