I support the review complaining about the subscription model. You have to buy a new one every year whether you like it or not. They don't talk about it very openly and hide this small detail deep in the product description - you rarely find it unless you know what to look for. These things are expensive, and after a year they die, and they willingly start bombarding you with promotions to buy a new one. I don't care how much they charge or how long they last, as long as that information is prominently displayed and buyers can make their own decision about the cost of owning a product for a specific period of time. But having my $30 purchase turn into a useless piece of plastic came as a huge surprise to me, and had I known when I bought it that this was going to happen, I (probably) would have either not made the purchase or weighed everything. and disadvantages and decided to live with this limitation. But keeping this information secret is, in my opinion, a misleading business practice.
