Exactly the part I needed, slightly misleading name. I'm not sure everyone will have the same problem, but the word "smoke" in the title led me to believe the part would be made of clear plastic with a "smoky" tint. The piece I received was made of black polymer and had roughly the same finish as a Glock pistol frame. (For me this was preferable to the expected "smoky" look, so keep that in mind) Perfect in terms of functionality. The included hardware was the perfect length and diameter for quick and easy installation with just a screwdriver. This was installed on an 87 Wrangler YJ only in the hope that it would reduce/eliminate the waterfall effect on my feet and pedals. If you are looking for a solution to this problem, look no further. Keeps the interior of the jeep and my feet dry and warm in a torrential downpour. I think it looks good on the hood too. Not flashy or obtrusive, it looks like it might be the default option, but to the savvy Jeeper eye it's taken as an indicator that you're a fan of functional style and dry feet! Buy this part. Your Jeep and your socks will thank you. One last thing to mention, depending on which direction you're looking at the blade from, you might notice a good flow of felt air from the defroster/fan. I've noticed a more noticeable difference in the direction of the mouth to the windshield, your results may vary. Another great purchase.
