I bought this case myself to blame, I didn't read "a layer" in the description. I use it outside to cover a half crappy looking Miata race car and it will cover the car. That's all. My confidence in any "protection" against anything other than bird dudu is not very high. In fact, I think the constant banging on the paint and rear vinyl glass will probably do more damage than no cover. Just take a look. By the way, the medium is too big for the Miata. I would say don't buy this cover if you already hate your car.
