Some YouTube videos show removing the old cover with a razor blade. Good luck with it! I used an oscillating port freight cutter like you use to cut wood paneling. It worked great. Then I found out that my Yukon never had a filter. I thought it was a coincidence but then we installed one of these on my son's Tahoe. We had to use an old toothbrush to get all the crap out of the cooling coils. The filter is fairly easy to install. Check YouTube again for instructions. The new cover is easy to assemble. The whole job takes about 20 minutes with an oscillating cutting tool. With a razor 1 hour plus possible trip to the emergency room.
