Short base and heavy top

I was really looking forward to this topper. I usually have a real tree, but this year I decided to have a flocked tree. Artificial flocked trees have a thicker branch at the top for the spire to fit, but this spire has a short base so it cannot properly fit the spire. So disappointing. I'll try macgyvering and see if I can somehow lengthen the base or find a way to attach it to the tree. Otherwise it will be returned. So I would give it 4 stars.
