Excellent kettle, except for the handle design

Excellent kettle, except for the handle design. I chose this one because I didn't want it to be made in China. When I brewed the first teapot and was about to pour it, the teapot fell on my hand and burned my thumb. The handle falls off too easily and the rivets aren't strong enough to hold it while pouring. I wish there was a way to block it or just make it more difficult. As much as I love the kettle and the simple design, I didn't want to risk any additional injury to myself or other family members making the tea. Qualitatively, this is a simple, basic pot. The metal may seem thin to some, but that's quite adequate. It seems to be a good economy kettle from Japan hence the lower price. I would buy it again if they fixed the design flaw with the collapsible handle.
