Review on ๐Ÿ’ช Enhance Steering Stability with Skyjacker 7213 Dual Kit Steering Stabilizer by Carlos Macy

ROYAL PITA in the installation!

Royal PITA! All three mounts had to be modified. Both side brackets did not match the holes. I had to clamp it in a vise and hit it with a sledgehammer to bend the vertical part forward (like oriented on a truck). Four holes were needed in the center bracket, designed for the thin and short U-bolts provided and drilled to 1/2 inch. The u-bolts weren't wide enough to fit the crank so I had to widen them and push the threaded ends together to fit through the larger holes I had drilled. The factory mount had two thicker, longer U-bolts, which I used on this mount because there were holes for them. Why were there only 2 U-bolts in the kit? Pressing bushings into each end of the shocks and fitting the dust caps wasn't too difficult, but had to be done at the factory. This installation took easily twice as long as it should have. This will bring the steering back to normal on big tires, but I don't recommend this product to anyone. Well, maybe someone I didn't like.

Pros
  • Spare parts
Cons
  • You could install a newer model
