I needed to set up a laptop with a USB-C output and need a quick disconnect feature. This docking station supports USB-C power delivery, which my laptop doesn't support, but I knew about it before buying it. Now all I have to do is disconnect the USB-C cable from this device and the power cable and I can work with the laptop. At home I will mainly use a connected laptop as a workplace. I like to use a separate keyboard and mouse so the USB port is connected to the docking station. In addition, monitor, sound, wired Internet, etc. The docking station has enough power for USB charging, etc. Surprisingly compact and looks very well made. Really perfect for what I wanted. FYI, if you're expecting USB power, your laptop needs to support it!
