Review on Crazy Forts Building Set by Everest Toys by Ronald Wheeler

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Brilliant! Very fun and exciting for kids and parents

It's a lot of fun and the glow in the dark version costs a few bucks more. This toy encourages my son's gross motor skills as well as his ability to interpret diagrams and follow instructions, and the pre-made forts are great fun to use. I appreciate the opportunity to continue the Fortress tradition on a Saturday morning in the living room without my kitchen chairs scraping the floor to support the sheets. As a former math teacher I can say that they are also great for teaching the concepts of angles - why some combinations of sides and angles completely cover a surface while others don't, and the fact that it can be done in both dimensions 2 or 3 is amazing. For kinesthetic learners or those who just want to have some off-screen fun, this is perfect! In a fort design with large open areas, parents can get in, although not necessarily comfortably. I could buy a second set so we can do larger designs but one makes a great standalone gift and is still good to use on its own.

Pros
  • Lots of positive vibes
Cons
  • Quality
