The steel sleeve around the pusher moves with the shaft, compressing the lever handle and preventing sealant from pushing through. This malfunction occurred after only 1 week. I've used sausage end guns for many years so I know how to restore them, but there was nothing I could do to fix this design. Albion and Newborn do not have this cuff around the pusher.
