I have a table that came from my husband's grandmother's house. It's a size that works great in many situations and we've had it for years. When we last used it, it had some sort of computer hardware on it, leaving deep gouges in the surface. I wanted to put it behind the sofa but every time I looked at it all I saw was potholes. I was wondering if it should be redone or painted but this is the original finish and I love it. I was able to use a combination of crayons and markers to fill in and cover up all the grooves. You definitely won't see them from across the room. If you look directly at the notches you can see them, but I think you should know where to look. Very happy with this product - it has breathed new life into this piece of furniture.
