GLO connects to your Android or iOS device via Bluetooth. For my Samsung S5 I can either use Bluetooth GPS with fake device location enabled or it can be used as an external GPS device depending on the app. It allows updates up to 10Hz, but I mostly see it around 8-8.5Hz (which is better than 1Hz for built-in GPS devices). Charging the battery is very annoying. Apparently I have to leave the device on to charge it from the USB port. If I turn it off while connected to a charger, it doesn't charge properly. A low battery condition is indicated by a rapidly flashing LED that alternates between green and amber. The instructions say this is a sign of a bad battery or battery failure, but that's not the case. When the device is turned on, it can be charged. The charge indicator is indicated by a slowly changing yellow/green LED. When fully charged, it will remain yellow. I bought a belt clip and used it with a RAM mount and belt clip adapter. I'd say it's fine - it's not 100% secure, but it's a GPS, not an accelerometer or camera. I have firmware 2.90. Overall: 5/5 stars.
