Pros: Excellent sound and clarity compared to laptop microphone and speakers Cons: Not all button functions work with Windows 7, but this is not an issue when on Skype or other internet connections are dependent programs. for communication and you need a hands-free system instead of a headset, then the CX100 is a MUST. I rely on Skype for business communication and my laptop with microphone and speakers just couldn't handle it. This speakerphone lives up to Polycom's hallmark of reliable hardware, and the resulting sound quality is simply superb. The device feels solid and the USB cable is integrated and located on the back of the device - in other words, you win. You don't have to worry about losing the USB cable during travel. The CX100 came with a vinyl carrying case and is compact enough to fit in my travel bag. At first I was hesitant to spend $100 on a speakerphone just for my laptop, but it turned out to be worth the investment. because my group conference calls with clients and field reps are crystal clear. Note that I'm using Windows 7 and not all built-in buttons work (e.g. cancel call); However, this is not a deal breaker as I still control all functions through the laptop. The volume control still works on the CX100, so I'm happy with that. I would highly recommend it to anyone who needs a portable, quality speakerphone to use with Skype or Google Chat.
