I've been using one of these for 5 years with .

I've been using one of these for 5 years with no problems, then I noticed the insulation on the cable was starting to crack so I ordered a replacement - exactly the same model and same supplier. The new one lasted less than 2 months and the mic must have broken because people kept complaining that I broke --- I switched to the old one, no more problems. ----otherwise I would give 5 stars because it works really really well (except for the lemon I got). very, very sensitive microphone. I use it…

Very good sound quality - love this thing!

I often have conference calls with 20+ people and this little thing delivers great sound quality both ways. I used to have this problem when calling from my regular VoIP phone, but in the almost two years since I bought it I haven't had any problems. Ease of use is fantastic too, with dedicated buttons for mute, volume up, volume down and hang up making things super easy; No more tedious searching for the right switch in the software. This is indeed a very, very good investment!

This device pays for itself

I've been using the Polycom CX100 for about a week now to communicate with colleagues via Microsoft Office Communicator 2007 R2 and the sound quality is amazing. There were no drivers to install, and as soon as I plugged in the USB port, Communicator recognized the device immediately. I work from home so this thing is seriously saving me money on my phone bills. The device also works in full duplex, which means I can speak and hear at the same time. On my old speakerphone, I had to wait for…

Reliable, portable, easy to use - get one of these

I've been using the CX-100 for over three years now and it's definitely one of the best and most reliable technologies I've ever used. I use it every day to make Lync and Skype for Business calls, both from my home office and while traveling with clients. Here are the main reasons why the CX-100 is so good: 1) Reliability. Because the CX-100 plugs into a USB port, I never have to worry about not having enough power for a long meeting. And I've driven this thing for miles and it keeps ticking…

Excellent sound, suitable for office electronics

Pros: Excellent sound and clarity compared to laptop microphone and speakers Cons: Not all button functions work with Windows 7, but this is not an issue when on Skype or other internet connections are dependent programs. for communication and you need a hands-free system instead of a headset, then the CX100 is a MUST. I rely on Skype for business communication and my laptop with microphone and speakers just couldn't handle it. This speakerphone lives up to Polycom's hallmark of reliable…

Great product for travel and long conference calls

I expect the Skype version of this product will work just as well. I've been a Polycom fan for a long time and have been using the Polycom SoundPoint Pro SE-220 for many years. For me, as a person who doesn't like headsets, a great hands-free phone is very important. But the move to digital VOIP has meant that I've used SoundPoint less and less. The Polycom Communicator is the perfect replacement for the digital age. It works great with my Office Communicator, even with the RC version of…

Ideal for live meetings and a communicator

I bought this Polycom CX100 USB speakerphone to use my laptop for conference calling with a live meeting or Microsoft Communicator as I often find myself in a small conference room or I'm in my office with 3 or 4 people and there's no way to just get them talking. Using speakers and a mic never works well with feedback and echo, so I decided to give it a try. The speakerphone was terrible, we tried several times to improve the call quality, but in the end I connected the CX100 to my laptop and…

Not sure I would recommend it, especially considering the price

I had one of these at my previous job, provided by my employer. In fact, it worked very well with Microsoft Lync technology. It was tightly integrated and worked well for conferencing. I'm starting to think this device is best avoided unless you use Lync exclusively. (For me and many of my former colleagues, however, those things have died out intermittently. I think my employer replaced some of them.) Fast-forward a few months and I'm starting to use Skype a lot more. .I remembered this…
