Review on 💡 Xantrex XM 1000 Power Inverter - 1000 Watt Model by John Floyd

I purchased this inverter as part of the replacement system for my 15 year old modified Trace Sine Wave Inverter Charger. The new system consists of this inverter, a 600W Prowatt inverter and a 20 amp Xantrex True Charge 2 charger. I chose this brand because of the outstanding performance of my original Trace inverter/charger. This time I decided on a component system in order to be able to replace individual parts in the event of a fault. I have lived off the grid for 15 years and my solar/wind system is connected to the original wiring in my caravan. This inverter easily powers my compact fridge and outlets in the kitchen and laundry; the Prowatt inverter drives all my electronics and variable speed motors; It even powers some of the Prowatt SW600 600 Watt True Sinewave Inverter medical equipment. The best feature of this inverter is the Bypass Switching System (ATS) which allows me to run large loads (pump, washing machine, microwave) directly from the generator while the generator is running, greatly reducing the wear and tear on my batteries. The battery cable connections are easily accessible and the enclosures that are included are great as this inverter will be installed in an open area. The front panel display is another nice touch - choose between input and load so I can see exactly how much my devices are using. I have a VERY small battery pack (a 12v L-16 type battery) and by the time these two inverters combined draw enough idle current to see a noticeable difference between this and the old inverter that went into the "rest".
