My dealer was servicing a Golf 04 2.0 with automatic transmission, the engine had some play and although all the tires were in good condition no dry rot or cracks I went with this kit. Now, despite the ads and most other manufacturers only listing it for manual transmission models, this kit is a perfect match for my torque arm assembly. I went for a hybrid setup and used the body mount bushings on the back of the arm and kept the factory front bushing. I chose this to see if I would be happy with this level of performance for everyday riding before pushing out the old bushing and putting in the polymer bushing. I've read many reports of the front ring bushing on the arm being replaced with a polyblock. was overkill for the daily driver. What I can tell you is that my factory front hub was in good condition and the rear hubs were replaced with these polymer blocks, WOW! ! The difference is amazing. The engine glitch is completely gone. Switching became much clearer. Noise and vibration in the cabin increased slightly at speed and moderately at idle. For me that's more than acceptable as I prefer to feel what the engine is doing. The increase in vibration is by no means unbearable. What an improvement!
