Works well on my 2015 Macbook Retina with macOS 10.11.5 El Capitan. One of the few small and compact devices currently available with a true USB 3.1 chipset. Benefits: • True 3.1 chipset supporting Gigabit Ethernet+ speeds. • Uses Apple's native Realtek chipset driver, eliminating the need to install or maintain a third-party driver on macOS. • Small and compact (smallest gigabit adapter I could find) • Well thought out material. Cons: • Takes over 20 seconds to power on and connect (a common issue these days with 3rd party USB adapters using Realtek chipsets + native Apple driver, based on my testing of various USB adapters from different manufacturers)
