I have two of them, in daily use since 2013 and 2015 respectively. They make great coffee makers for people who like really hot coffee, not cold coffee. However, this has disadvantages. First, you only need the Warm setting to keep the coffee hot; If you distractedly turn the knob too far, the consequences can be dire - like boiling the drink and breaking the cup, not to mention destroying your home. It doesn't help that the indicator light does NOT indicate that the device is on, only that it's actively heating. When the set temperature is reached, the lamp goes out. As far as I could determine there is no way to reroute the wiring so that the test light shows ON. or off. Also, on one of my units, even Off doesn't shut off completely - it lets through enough juice to keep the burner noticeably warm. The solution to both of these problems is to install a special switch with a pilot lamp on the line. I have this (2 pack) Appliance Switch with LED Indicator Rocker Switch Power Button Table Lamp Table Lamp Cord 110V 250V 10A. It's well made, efficient and easy to install.
