Works but has a bug

The old tire I had on my RAV4 fell apart (thanks Toyota). So I bought a replacement. It works great and looks good, but when it rains the damn thing fills up with water. So when I open the back door, the water spreads over my boots. I ended up cutting a small hole in the bottom to drain the water but I know this will shorten the life of the lid.
