Review on 🎨 Prima Marketing Finnabair Art Alchemy Metallique Wax: Mint Sparkle, 0.68 Fluid Ounce by Michelle Langley

more yellowish spring green than mint, but still a great find

I love these waxes and try to collect many colors. While everything is nice, the color names aren't very informative (I find the background color on the lid is often more accurate). Therefore, they are displayed in a lighter color on a darker background. Mint Glitter is more like a fun, shiny spring green with lots of yellow. Highlights are only available in a mint tone. I was hoping to get closer to green or patina. It's not the same, but I still like it and find many uses for it. [Another example is "Mystic Turquiose," which dries more like a lapis blue with violet overtones; You can't even always tell by the paint in the tin.] For drying: I find that, like the Antique Brilliance paints, these feel oilier than Creative Expressions' Rub-n-Buff or Metallic Gilding Wax and stay put workable and soft longer. I keep them sealed and in ziplock bags. Most other types of gilding wax dry much faster. The polish also dries out and the plastic caps break (sports tape and tinfoil). Another reviewer suggested some sort of thinner to restore it, and while I can't remember, I've had success in the past (water works for some, as does very hard wax for gilding).
