With the previous two decks failing due to poor quality of materials, poor workmanship, and lack of moisture sealing, I wanted to build a deck that would outlive me, which meant taking every step no matter how expensive or extreme a few general contractors thought I was. this project. The moisture sealing part literally meant applying a copious amount of construction sealer to the extended length of the board, joints and ends with a caulking gun. That's a lot of pumping work with a caulking gun, especially for a man with tired, old, arthritic hands! Having been in the construction industry for over forty years, I knew that manually pumping three cases of construction sealant wouldn't work. very good for me, if at all. Then, while visiting a friend who was building his deck, I saw this pneumatic applicator at his work station. It swore by its unexpected power saving performance and time saving. The problem was solved for me by having one less physically demanding thing to worry about in my own project. My Belaroko Pneumatic Caulking Gun exceeded my expectations! The only reason I gave it four stars versus five is because the metal tube holding the seal case moved in the handle - slid back and forth and rolled freely. Also, the metal tube is only attached to the trigger grip with cheap thin plastic, which is broken. As Mr. Fix-It here, I simply resorted to Gorilla Glue and wired the tube to the handle. Not too pretty, but problem solved. This product should have been on the market forty years ago!
