Review on ๐Ÿ”ต High-Quality Silicone Mold Making Kit - 2.2 lb Sapphire Blue Silicone Rubber for Casting Resin & Silicone Molds by Andrea Beavers

Revainrating 5 out of 5

30A is the hardness/stiffness index after curing.

. I use it to make casts of small architectural monuments and it works very well! I don't have a base to compare to similar products but I probably will tomorrow. Worst of all, it's quite difficult to heal, so very hard, which can make cast items difficult to remove from it. Especially when using clay for sculpting, you need to somehow destroy the model to get it out of shape. But the best part is that it cures pretty hard, making it reusable with minimal warping. I've made 5 molds so far and used them at least twice; I've used one three times and the objects are nearly identical, with a few exceptions that I can attribute to external factors (one shape is for an impractically thin obelisk-shaped object about 4.5 inches long and 0.25 inches square ). , it had trouble breaking the tip on removal, and one more exception: I tried experimenting with adding acrylic to the plaster but got weird results and now I think it's because I don't actually have any acrylic paint added. It was an acrylic finisher/sealer. oops.) Anyway. If you want to make beautiful reusable molds for things you made out of clay, I would definitely recommend this material. Just keep in mind that the shape will be pretty stiff when it's done. As. For reference, think of a mold you could use for fancy cake pans or for melting chocolate; it gets *a little* harder.
