Works well but new wears out quickly

I ordered this for my 12 year old son and at first he liked all the colors but the novelty quickly faded. Now it's just an alarm clock for him. Setting the time was relatively easy and he was able to do it himself without assistance. He doesn't bother using the light to wake up, which is why I bought it. He's a confident little man, and some battles we don't fight. We just get off the hill and stay calm and happy. :)
