Worst product I've bought from Amazon! At first glance, the bar looks reasonably stable. Halfway to my destination, I noticed the bike looked weird at the back. I stopped to check and one side of the bracket was loose. Thought it might not be set correctly. But just in case, I put a bike lock on it and other bikes. Glad you did! A little further down the street, a bike fell out of a bike rack after a minor impact on the interstate. The only reason the bike didn't tip over on the interstate is because I used the bike lock. After inspection, BOTH sides of the bracket came loose! Waste of money, not to mention potential danger to people behind you.
