Purchased for our Big Burke. It's life saving and prevents mess! It's much easier to read the sensor to determine the level of available filtered water than to lift the lid and look into the upper reservoir. We also marked the caliber in two places; The first or lowest point on the gauge reflects the water level after the tank has been filled with a 1 gallon jug. Once that was filtered I added a second 1 gallon to the tank and marked the nearest point on the gauge to represent the higher point reflecting 2 gallons of filtered water, ready to use. Marking takes a little time during the day, but in the long run it pays to know exactly how much water to add to the top tank and avoid excess water in the bottom tank. Now everyone in the household can fill Berkey accurately using a pressure gauge and water level markers.
