The mechanic told me not to change the spark plugs yet as they are OEM iridium. It was really difficult to change the spark plugs and spark plug wires in my 2002 Lasabre, but I watched a few YouTube presentations and managed to do it. Although the old spark plugs didn't look bad, the machine's engine now runs as quietly as a sewing machine. Performance is noticeably better, especially when accelerating. I also installed a new air filter and will be installing a new fuel filter soon. I AM NOT A MECHANIC but even low IQ people like me with YouTube and patience can do it. My mechanic charged $200 for it even though he didn't want it.
