Review on πŸ’ͺ Efficient and Versatile: WirthCo 32990 Funnel King Push-Style Grease Gun with Hydraulic and Flush Couplers by Ronald Reese

Revainrating 1 out of 5

Two of two broken

This grease gun was included in the tool kit that came with the South Bend SB1001 8K lathe I purchased from Grizzly Industrial, Inc. in September last year. The fault was that all the grease seeped past the piston when pressure was applied to lubricate the lathe fittings. Grizzly tech support/customer service was very responsive and sent me a replacement very quickly. BUT the replacement did not include the same hydraulic nozzle needed to lubricate the lathe. Also, the nozzle included in the kit didn't start to screw onto the end of the gun. Still very supportive, Grizzly checked their stocks, couldn't find a suitable gun and ordered replacement stock. They promise to send me a good gun if they have one. So in the meantime I've found a great product at SAE Products in Conway, SC. I bought their product called GUN-PTH and it works GREAT! I have both SAE and Grizzly on this product - what is it worth. I suspect the WirthCo 32990 junk is imported, but I suspect the SAE product could also be imported. It's not about where in the world the product is made. Rather, it is about the technical competence of the design and the administrative competence of the provider.

Pros
  • Grease guns
Cons
  • Some minor items
