Good utility knife - my new review

This is a great utility knife. It's lightweight and feels comfortable in my hand. I had a little trouble finding the blade storage case at first, but it's right inside the handle and folds out easily. There's a magnet in it to hold an extra blade in place. My old utility knife had to be unscrewed to replace the blade. This one is so convenient. The blade slides straight in at the end, and there's a small button on the back of the blade housing that locks it in or releases it.I also like that there's a button to lock it closed or open. Admittedly, I miss the convenience of a blade that slides in and out with the button on the edge of the handle. I think that's a much more efficient way of safely using it for repeated use. Simply put, if I have the kind with the slider, I am going to slide the blade out as far as I need to, make the cut, and slide the blade back in immediately. In that way, I am far less likely to inadvertently hurt myself or damage something else.On the other hand, with a foldable utility knife, I am less likely to close it after each use because it will require two hands to open it again. If it had a switch-blade style opening feature, which this one does not, that would make it a whole lot easier when you're working and don't want to have to slow down to prepare your tools. It's a good tool at a good price. As for the design, it works well. I don't use it for very long at a time, so it's hard to say if it would be comfortable to do so. It seems like it would be though. I deducted a star because it takes two hands to open it. It also would have been nice if a couple extra blades were included.Overall all, it's a good utility knife at a fair price, but I would opt for one that slides the blade out rather than folding. Now, if we can get that with the convenience of loading the blade with a push of a button rather than screws, we'd really have a great product.
