I breed mysterious snails. And they were a little lethargic (haha!) in the reproductive department. I have a 50 gallon tank and I throw these bad guys in and within a week my snails started laying eggs like gangsters. After 3 months my aquarium is full. I have given snails to my other water friends. Their shells are thick and hard and they grow quickly. A large sink lasts about a month before I need to replace it, but I have very hard water to start with. I'm sure it will dissolve faster if your water is soft.
