Review on Fouriers Headset Expander Steerer 22 25Mm by Wayne Girard

Very well thought out carbon head tube design. This Fourier extension fork replaced my stock fork on my Cervelo R2. I was a little uncomfortable knowing that the OEM connector was only about an inch or more, so I figured my investment needed something sturdier. I originally replaced the standard connector with a longer Specialized extension connector, but found that it came loose after a few rides. I've tightened it to 9nm as instructed but to no avail, it will loosen over time anyway. I then tried a few other options and found that another steerer tube seal would need to be fitted to the top of the plugs. I alternate between 5mm and 10mm head tube shims for seasonal riding. I lose the flexibility I've noticed during the winter months, so from 10mm to 5mm as my riding progress and flexibility increases from early spring through fall. However, I would need to add 2mm shim to compensate for the thickness of the clevis. With this Fourier expander plug I didn't have to add an extra 2mm spacer, instead the headset looked cleaner. Great strong product!
