These are absolutely fine boots. Well made and beautiful to look at. It's killing me to have to return them, but I have wide feet and high arches, which just don't work in these boots. I tried the boot on my right foot first and it just fitted, although the laces weren't long enough to reach the upper sleeve. I walked through my bedroom in a boot and fell in love. Then I tried on the left shoe – it's always cool for me. And unfortunately I could find that booting would not work. On the right shoe, the hole above the tongue was placed as seamlessly as possible. On the left I had gaps on either side of my tongue and enough pressure on the top of my arch that I knew it wasn't going to work. I'm so sad! This is exactly what I wanted for work, walking/hiking and cold weather riding. I've searched forever but nobody makes shoes like this for wide feet, high arches or worse, a mix of both. However, if you have a standard width foot, you'll love this. True to length and one of the best boots I've seen in a long time - well worth the price.
