Review on ๐Ÿ”’ YakAttack LockNLoad Mounting System with Track Mounted Fish Finder Mount by John Mejia

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Not as many adjustments as the RAM but I LOVE the easy twist mechanism as a base!

Stable but a little wobbly. I mean, I don't feel like my FF is going anywhere, but it's noticeably more wobbly than my previous RAM mount. Also, it doesn't have as many settings as the RAM, but a simple rotating base makes up for it! Once you have placed the base on the rail you can remove/install the pole with a simple locking mechanism. This locking mechanism has the added function of squeezing the latch and only raising it about 1/2 inch, after which you can rotate the entire mount. This really comes in handy when trying to get the FF out of the sun. You don't get endless tweaks like you do with RAM, but the trade-off is that the overall weight of your FF doesn't fluctuate when you want to make adjustments. It's still very safe. With my old RAM, you'd have to be careful to hold your FF while loosening. This system allows you to loosen up and move around without worrying about your FF rocking under its own weight. the compromises are worth it! Definitely recommended.
