These scoops have saved me a lot of time baking cookies, muffins, and muffins. As other reviewers have said, they aren't very strong and leave some material behind when squeezed, but I just pop back in with a small rubber spatula to scoop it all out. I also don't use the scoop directly to scoop up the cookie dough, but to put the dough into the scoop with a spatula and press down, otherwise the scraper will deform a bit. Those scoops are also a hassle to scrape (the little handle that attaches the scraper to the scoop catches bits of the sponge I use to clean it), but honestly I don't know of any ice cream scoop with scraper bits that are easier to clean. I'd say if you're a baker at all then you'll be infinitely happier to have ice cream balls to help with cookies and muffins. This product is good for starters and for abuse, but you can probably find better quality shovels elsewhere.
