I am so tired of bottles leaking and I had a chinchilla rescue friend who recommended this bottle to me! I LOVE IT! And my chinchillas too! DO NOT LICK! It's a bit more expensive than some other PET bottles, but it's worth it. It is made of durable plastic and is very easy to refill! The white cap unscrews for easy cleaning and the blue cap opens for easy refilling! You don't even have to take it out of its cage unless it's time to clean it! The bottom of the bottle is flat so you can put it down and don't worry about it tipping over. As a side note it's not really a big deal, don't stand it upside down when it's full of water as the top cap isn't waterproof and water will leak out. It's okay because it's not how it's supposed to be hung.** If you're concerned about how your pet is learning to use it, try rubbing its tip with a delicious treat that they really love to keep them entertained to keep interested. For my chinchillas I used raisins to flavor them and it was a very smooth transition. I would recommend hanging the old bottle in the cage next to it until you are sure your pet is using the new one to avoid dehydration! =
