Review on Scythe 140Mm 300 1800RPM Radiator Single by Eric Mueller

Fixed GPU temperature issues

This is a great case fan, comparable to the Notctua nf-a14 fan with similar blade design. At 1800rpm 100cc cfm and industrial ippc 2000rpm 108cfm, at a fraction of the cost. It's LOUD at full speed but comparable in sound to my other case fans when running it at 1200 RPM. At idle speed 1000 rpm it is not audible. When playing at full speed I wear headphones so I still can't hear it. I recommend only using this if you have PWM control to set the fan curve. This thing also pushes out a ton of air. I lost about 5-7°C (GPU) when I switched from Corsair's stock 140mm 1000RPM fan to this one. Note that my original fan didn't actually move much air. So if you already have a decent fan, your results may vary. You can tell if your system is having airflow issues when you open the side/front panels and the temperature drops under load (while a game is running). Previously my GPU got hot with the side door closed and dropped 5-7 degrees when I opened it. With this fan, it always stays at this lower temperature even when the side panel is closed. I am currently using it as a front center suction fan to power my GPU. So far I'm a fan of this fan.
