I love this drawer organizer. I only wish it had more slots, and I have two sizes of spoons and forks, butter knives and matching steak knives, so it's too much for this organizer. I was able to purchase a 3" x 9" InterDesign 52430 Clear Linus Organizer to hold the steak knives (stored in either direction so they fit together) and the serving pieces in the other. Rather than simply expanding, they should find one that fits the standard flatware set, salad fork slot, dinner fork, spoon, soup spoon, knife and serving utensil (slightly wider), as those are the basics everyone has. It's amazing how hard it is to find a decently made organizer that fits all of this. The wooden ones are crap. They use wires to secure the wood slots which give very easily, especially when the organizer moves front to back as the drawer opens and closes like mine did. The wooden ones fell apart almost immediately. It was the best replacement I could find and I'm very happy with it.
