Great upgrade - worth every penny

This is an absolutely amazing upgrade. This was my first head unit installation but the wiring kit and diagrams in the owner's manual are easy to understand. Aside from a few silly mistakes on my part as I crawled through rabbit holes trying to figure out what I had wired wrong, everything went smoothly. The only problem I had is related to Android Auto. A product description and video posted online over a year ago suggested it was Android Auto only via a wired connection. The software on the head unit, Android Auto for my S10+ or both needs updating after posting these articles as mine connects wirelessly. In addition, the user interface is also slightly different from these images. I spent some time this evening sorting through the settings to see if that was the cause of the inconsistency, but it doesn't seem to be the case. I suspect this is due to the software version. I don't know if that's good or bad. It's just aesthetics. The main difference is that apps look more like app icons on a phone or tablet than windows with icons in the middle. I could take it or leave it as the functionality is the same. The last thing I would recommend is using the included microphone. I have installed and tested the Bluetooth calling feature of this device and people have reported that they cannot hear my voice well. For the past three years, I've suffered because my 2017 Camry didn't have Android Auto. I was thinking about buying a new car to give my car the same functionality. My S8+ started screen burn-in prior to the Google Maps update and I'm concerned about my phone's battery life if I set it to use as GPS in my area. With door ajar information, A/C information, TPMS information and mpg information built into this unit it basically gives me what looks and feels like the OEM functionality that should have existed If Toyota hadn't been so stubborn about embracing this 21st century technology. .
