I'm determined to learn new things even though I'm in my 40's so I'm learning to roller skate. One key ingredient: pads. The other set of my knee pads are attached to the compression fabric which is very comfortable when I'm wearing shorts. But if I'm wearing pants, I need something to put them on so the fall doesn't tear my legs. You have worked very well for this purpose. They're tight enough to stay in place with ease, but loose enough to tuck into pant legs with ease. I don't like to take risks so I didn't fall too often but recently I landed on my knee and had no problems thanks to the protection of these pads. I am happy with these pads and recommend them as a good base option.
