Functionality wise, when I received it, this product is pretty good. It’s fairly bright, motion sensor works well.It does say it is an outdoor product, but the solar panel seems fairly inadequately designed for outside use. The cable entry isn’t sealed to prevent moisture entering, and the solar panel isn’t fully flush with the body, leaving gaps. For me, the unit and solar panel are not directly exposed to rain, and would need additional weather proofing for me to feel comfortable to do so. Finally, when the light battery is fully discharged, the unit defaults to off rather then preserving the previously set state.Yet my biggest gripe is the manual. I’ve ordered more then my fair share of cheap goods with poorly translated manuals. While grammatical interesting to read, those manuals did the job. The manual that came for this is unacceptably bad, poorly organized, and missing information. It does not describe the 4 states the light can be in. Let me document those now:1. OFF - defacto state used when solar battery fully depleted.2. No charging from Solar & motion detected means the light turns on to high brightness for 30 seconds, then off if no further motion detected.3. No charging from Solar means light is on dim mode, and flips to high brightness when motion is detected.4. No charging from Solar means light is on medium brightness, motion detection does not change the brightness level.It’s clear to better this product, the manual needs to be updated.Update: this POS didn’t last the winter, couldn’t hand the cold weather. You’re better off paying a few dollars more for a frost resistant model.
