Gauges showed wrong readings, inaccurate on many attempts! I used saltwater from the Waikiki Aquarium which met the standard in all categories such as pH and the test strips showed they were all NOT up to standard and outside of specification. Saltwater pumped from the depths of the ocean has gone through many filtration systems, how can it not meet the standard? I'm pretty sure every public aquarium's saltwater was up to standard and the test strips showed it had fallen off. It's hard to believe that the water at the Waikiki Aquarium is sub-standard. Don't waste your money on these test strips. The water in the Waikiki Aquarium is super clean, had to pass the tests (3 attempts). They use the same salt water to display their fish in many aquariums. I don't mix my own saltwater, I just take buckets and fill them with the purest saltwater from the Waikiki Aquarium.
