Review on Enhance Your Privacy With BDF BLKT Day & Night Blackout Window Film - 24 Hour Coverage | Size 36X12 Ft by Bill Dooley

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Definitely blackout

Installation is pretty simple: Clean the window with some soapy water, dry it. Cut the film to roughly the same dimensions. Remove the protective film from the blackout film so you can get the sticky part. Spray the window with more soapy water, spray the sticky side of the film with soapy water and then apply to the window. Use the squegee to push the water out to the sides and bottom. Essentially if you've ever done a "Wet application" screen protector this is that, just for a window.Downsides for applying is when you cut the film once it's on the window. You will almost definitely not get a perfect cut so you will have light bleed around the edges. For now I've fixed the most problematic ones by just taping small strips to the film and window sill. Another person recommended black electrical tape which I've not yet tried but will.As for how it works? It's blackout. If you cover your windows perfectly it will be as if there is no windows at all. You can look at the sun and it's just a dim reddish circle. There is absolutely no "brightness" coming through this film.So overall, if you need to essentially remove a windows existence this is a solid choice.
