The instructions that come with this are really very good. If you follow them, you should end up with a really great looking window. The only issue I had was that I was trying to put on a long piece by myself, and separating the film became an issue. I ended up screwing it up and having it fold on itself, and wasting a bunch of it. Installation is pretty simple: Clean the window with some soapy water, dry it. Cut the film to roughly the same dimensions. Remove the protective film from the blackout film so you can get the sticky part.
