I would give it 5 stars except for the problem with insulated windows. Luckily right now I live in an old house with original windows, or I would be in trouble. When I move, I will have to be sure to find a house with the bedroom window on the north to avoid this issue.As for blocking the light, I love the stuff! But these reviewers that are saying it blocks the light COMPLETELY had better take a closer look.I can easily make out the outlines of buildings, and even the shadow of a tree! It is a very, VERY deep shade of red, and it would probably be good enough for my day sleeping, but I went ahead and put my blackout curtains back up over the tinted windows. NOTHING is getting through, now!You REALLY want at least two people to handle the film after the backing has started being removed. I did the four panes of my two bedroom windows by myself, and they are no work of art, but they are doing the job. On the first one I removed the backing film completely before being to apply it to the window. With two (or three) people, you could probably do it this way. If you are by yourself, definitely pull down the top edge, apply it, and then pull off the rest of the cover as it sticks to the window. You can always reposition it if you need to.
